Letter to the Alumni

Dear Ednas Alum,
Peace!
As you all know your alma mater, Ednas School, is celebrating its 40th Ruby Anniversary this school year 2006-2007. Indeed, it has been forty meaningful and fruitful years in its mission of bringing quality education to the community and we are proud that you have been part of its journey, evolution and history.
The event will be marked with a series of events some of which the alumni community are enjoined to attend, and these are the following:
1. THANKSGIVING MASS – Thursday, 22 February 2007, 2:00 PM at the School Gym
A high mass to be celebrated by alumni-priests and to be attended by the administration, alumni, parents, faculty, students and friends. To commemorate the occasion, please wear something red.
2. PARADE and MARKET FAIR – Friday, 23 February 2007, 8:00 AM
Starting point for the parade will be at Ednas School and will proceed to downtown areas. A street dancing performed by selected students will take place along five specified points in the designated route. Three floats will also be present. Bringing your cars will be highly appreciated. The parade will be attended by the administration, alumni, parents, faculty, students and friends. As a motivator, Batch '99 will grace the parade in scooters.
3. GRAND ALUMNI HOMECOMING: “AMING HANDOG 2007", A Runway Concert featuring the
Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra – Sunday, 25 February 2007,4:00 PM, Dagupan City People's Astrodome
A night of camaraderie, entertainment and nostalgic memories in a runway concert supported by a 15-piece orchestra, a showcase of talents of students and the faculty and the recognition of outstanding alumni who made a mark in the different fields of profession. It is a formal gathering of alumni, family, students, faculty, administration and friends. Come in your best formal evening dress and Barong Tagalog. The night will be televised.
Part of the proceeds for the ticket sales and sponsorships of the evening and other anniversary events will benefit the Dagupan community project of the Gawad Kalinga (GK), the most aggressive and active foundation in the country committed to building decent and wholesome communities for the impoverished sector of the country. The school's link-up with GK will be the beginning of a long-term relationship which aims to develop an immersion program for students and faculty where they can help to build homes and advocate literacy with the less fortunate. Your presence in this memorable event will benefit this worthwhile cause tremendously.
Tickets for the alumni are now available at P 300 at the Guidance Office (c/o Ms. Josephine Arenas -Batch 1989) or at the main office (c/o Mrs. Josie Moulic). Please organize your batch and spread the word around to the whole alumni community for this special event which will also serve as a tribute to all alumni for having earned the torch of the Ednasian spirit in all their undertakings.
The administration will deeply appreciate your presence in this meaningful celebration. God bless.

A special event for the Grand Alumni Homecoming is an "Exclusive Trip Down Memory Lane", Sunday, 25 February 2007, 8:30 AM -ll:30 AM, at the Ednas School grounds.
This is an exclusive and special time with your school director, Dr. Edna Torio-Gonzales, to visit the school and join her in reminiscing old memories as you walk down memory lane.
Visit the Gallery of the Ednas Laurel Awardees and The Ednas School Historical Archives on exhibit. Also, you may want to take a brief tour of the school facilities and remember moments spent perhaps in the library, the playgrounds, gym, or even in your old classrooms, Witness the changes you see and just spend time enjoying the tour with old classmates in laughter and fun!
Do come and you will have the whole school to yourselves before celebrating your Grand Night at the Dagupan City People's Astrodome, 4:00 P.M.
"Aming Handog 2007", a Runway Concert, featuring the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra. A formal red carpet gathering, it promises to be nostalgic and delightful! Cocktails will be served and will be televised. Come in your bestf ormal evening wear and Barong Tagalog.

2.) Please start organizing your batch for the Ednas School Ruby Anniversary celebration. Also, please assign at least one coordinator per batch.

1.) Tickets for the upcoming Grand Alumni Homecoming on 25th of February 2007 will be made available next week. However, no ticket price yet.
2.) Please start organizing your batch for next month's Ruby Anniversary celebration.
3.) All alumni should join the motorcade on Friday, 23 February 2007.
